This is the first unit in New Testament Greek. The student will learn the Greek verb system, nouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, and pronouns. Each class will include vocabulary to memorize and exercises to translate. After completing this course, the student will know approximately 300 Greek words, and will be able to translating most sentences in the Greek New Testament.
The Basic Greek unit is composed of three different courses. Each course includes 9-10 classes. Each class can be completed in 1 day or 1 week, depending on the amount of time the student can spend studying. (If necessary, the student can take more than one week to complete a class.) Each course, then, can be completed in about 3 weeks to just under 3 months. The entire unit can be completed in just over 2 months to about 9 months.
Textbook: The textbook for this unit is David Allan Black’s Learn to Read New Testament Greek. The student should acquire this book before beginning any of the classes in this course. The same textbook is used for all three courses in this unit.
